This is concept branding for Wat magazine, an online publication all about electric cars. The brand can be described as eclectic and quirky with a certain retro-inspired flair. A disruptor, to the more straight-forward, technical style of writing of competing auto magazines. The task was to create a full brand identity, including a logo, website, and event with poster and promo items. The Wat the Fun (WTF) Soapbox Derby is the magazine's annual afternoon of wackiness. Taking inspiration from derby races of yesteryear and today, the event ignites ingenuity though an inspiring showcase of artistry and engineering.
